Chai that was actually brewed

Most chai served at American events comes out of a carton or a pump bottle. It is sweet, it is beige, and anyone who grew up drinking the real thing can tell within one sip. We brew ours the way it is brewed in a Dubai cafeteria: loose black tea and green cardamom simmered with evaporated milk and sugar until the colour turns deep amber, then poured straight from the pot.

That difference is the entire reason guests queue up twice. It is also why we are usually the thing people photograph — a karak pour looks like something, in a way a paper cup of drip coffee never will.

Built for the rush, not the trickle

A chai booth has one enormous practical advantage: tea is brewed in volume ahead of the pour. The pot is already full when the rush arrives, so the counter keeps handing cups over continuously. When two hundred people leave a ceremony at the same moment, the queue moves.

We bring the canopy, the calligraphy panels, the counter and the flags. You tell us where to park it and what time the rush lands.

More than one drink on the counter

Karak is the headline, but a booth serving only one thing leaves guests out. Alongside it we pour sulaimani for anyone who wants tea without milk, sage and ginger-lemon for the guests who are done with caffeine, and iced tea when the event is outdoors in July. The coffee side of the menu — Arabic, Turkish, Saudi, French and a Spanish latte — runs from the same counter.

How it works

A booth, a counter, and a queue that keeps forming

The Dubai Karak team standing inside their branded canopy booth at an outdoor event

We bring a branded canopy, a served counter, and pots of tea and coffee brewed the way they are brewed in the Gulf. Because everything is brewed in volume before the doors open, we hand out a hot cup every few seconds rather than every few minutes.

That matters most at the moments events actually get busy: the end of a ceremony, a conference break, the hour after sunset at a Ramadan bazaar. The booth is designed to absorb a crowd, and the setup is designed to be photographed while it does.

  • Branded canopy, calligraphy panels and feather flags included
  • Served counter — guests are handed a cup, not left to self-serve
  • Hot and cold menu so the booth works in July as well as December
  • Indoor or outdoor, with our own setup and breakdown

★★★★★
Honestly one of the best Karak experiences in California. Mohammad really knows what he's doing. Every cup hits different, rich, smooth, and full of authentic Eastern flavor. You can literally taste the spices, the warmth, the culture in every sip. It's not just tea, it feels like a small trip to the Middle East right here in Cali. If you're into real Karak, this place is a must.

I had the pleasure of having The Dubai Karak at my birthday celebration, and they truly exceeded every expectation. They were so kind, generous, and welcoming, creating such a beautiful atmosphere from the moment they arrived. The karak was absolutely amazing, rich and authentic, and they offered so much more than just drinks. Every detail, from their presentation to their outfits, was executed perfectly from A to Z. They brought such a luxurious, elevated vibe that made everyone fall in love with the experience and truly made my party unforgettable!

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is karak chai?

Karak is strong black tea brewed with green cardamom, sugar and evaporated milk until it turns a deep amber. It is the everyday tea of the UAE and the wider Gulf, sold from roadside cafeterias in small cups. It is richer and more spiced than a typical chai latte, and it is brewed rather than mixed from a syrup.

How is this different from the usual event drinks?

It is a served booth pouring Gulf tea and coffee: karak brewed in the pot with cardamom and evaporated milk, sulaimani, sage and ginger lemon tea, plus Arabic, Turkish and Saudi coffee. Everything is brewed in volume ahead of the pour, so the counter clears a rush quickly.

Do you serve chai other than karak?

Yes. Sulaimani (black tea with lemon and no milk), sage tea, ginger lemon tea and iced tea all run from the same counter, so guests who do not want a milky spiced tea still have something made properly.

Which areas do you cover?

Orange County and Los Angeles County. Anaheim, Irvine, Santa Ana, Long Beach, Huntington Beach and Glendale are all regular runs. Ask us about anywhere else in Southern California.

How far ahead should we book?

Weekend dates in wedding season and Ramadan go first, so earlier is better. Send your date through the quote form and we will tell you straight away whether it is open.
