A chai station is not an add-on at these events

At a mehndi it is where half the room ends up standing. At a nikkah, gahwa and dates during the arrival is the gesture that signals the family knows what it is doing. At a walima, the tea after dinner is the part the aunties remember.

Which is why serving something out of a carton is a genuinely risky choice. Our karak is brewed with loose tea, green cardamom and evaporated milk in the pot, and poured hot. It will stand up to the relative who has been drinking it daily for fifty years.

Gulf and Desi, on the same counter

Karak sits comfortably between both traditions — it is the tea of the UAE, and it descends directly from the chai brought by South Asian workers to the Gulf. Alongside it we pour sulaimani for the no-milk drinkers, sage and ginger lemon for the elders, Arabic and Turkish coffee for the coffee side of the family, and kunafa for dessert.

The chips and cheese paratha is usually the surprise hit with the younger guests.

Late is the point

These events run long. The booth is designed to still be pouring when the caterers have packed down, which is exactly when a hot cup of chai is worth the most.

The menu

Everything that travels with the booth

Tea

Dubai Karak Chai

كرك
Signature

The signature. Strong black tea, cardamom, evaporated milk, brewed and poured to order.

Sulaimani Tea

سليماني

Black tea with no milk, brightened with lemon and a little spice. The Gulf digestif.

Sage Tea

ميرمية

Maramiya — fresh sage steeped with black tea. Herbal, warming, naturally caffeine-light.

Ginger Lemon Tea

Fresh ginger and lemon, steeped hot. The caffeine-free option that isn't an afterthought.

Iced Tea

Chilled and lightly sweetened — the outdoor-event workhorse.

Coffee

Turkish Coffee

قهوة تركية

Finely ground coffee simmered in a cezve and poured unfiltered, grounds and all.

Saudi Coffee

قهوة سعودية

Pale, cardamom-forward and lightly roasted, served in small handleless finjan cups.

Arabic Coffee

قهوة عربية

Gahwa poured from a traditional dallah — the Gulf's welcome drink.

French Coffee

Sweet, milky and mild — the Middle Eastern café version, not a French press.

Spanish Latte

New

Coffee with sweetened condensed milk — rich, sweet and currently everywhere.

Cold

Dirty Soda

Soda built with cream, syrups and fruit — the trend, done as a full serve-to-order bar.

Snack

Chips & Cheese Paratha

Flaky paratha wrapped around melted cheese and Chips Oman, with hot sauce.

Sweet

Kunafa

كنافة

Shredded pastry over soft cheese, baked and soaked in syrup. Served warm.

How it works

A booth, a counter, and a queue that keeps forming

The Dubai Karak team standing inside their branded canopy booth at an outdoor event

We bring a branded canopy, a served counter, and pots of tea and coffee brewed the way they are brewed in the Gulf. Because everything is brewed in volume before the doors open, we hand out a hot cup every few seconds rather than every few minutes.

That matters most at the moments events actually get busy: the end of a ceremony, a conference break, the hour after sunset at a Ramadan bazaar. The booth is designed to absorb a crowd, and the setup is designed to be photographed while it does.

  • Branded canopy, calligraphy panels and feather flags included
  • Served counter — guests are handed a cup, not left to self-serve
  • Hot and cold menu so the booth works in July as well as December
  • Indoor or outdoor, with our own setup and breakdown

★★★★★
Honestly one of the best Karak experiences in California. Mohammad really knows what he's doing. Every cup hits different, rich, smooth, and full of authentic Eastern flavor. You can literally taste the spices, the warmth, the culture in every sip. It's not just tea, it feels like a small trip to the Middle East right here in Cali. If you're into real Karak, this place is a must.

I had the pleasure of having The Dubai Karak at my birthday celebration, and they truly exceeded every expectation. They were so kind, generous, and welcoming, creating such a beautiful atmosphere from the moment they arrived. The karak was absolutely amazing, rich and authentic, and they offered so much more than just drinks. Every detail, from their presentation to their outfits, was executed perfectly from A to Z. They brought such a luxurious, elevated vibe that made everyone fall in love with the experience and truly made my party unforgettable!

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you serve at mehndi and nikkah events?

Regularly. A chai station suits these events better than almost any other format — guests gather around it, it runs late, and the drinks are ones the families actually grew up with.

Is your karak like Pakistani or Indian chai?

It is closely related. Karak is the Gulf version of the same drink, brewed stronger and heavier on cardamom and evaporated milk. Guests from both traditions recognise it immediately.

Can you serve Arabic coffee and dates for the nikkah arrival?

Yes — gahwa poured from a dallah with dates alongside is one of our most requested arrangements for nikkah ceremonies.

How late can you stay?

Later than most vendors. Tell us your run sheet in the quote form and we will build the timing around when your guests actually want tea.

Do you offer dessert as well?

Yes. Warm kunafa and the chips and cheese paratha are both served from the same booth.
